Opening Event for the 2025-2026 Academic Year was Held by Kocaeli University Library

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer CANTÜRK, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Within the scope of the event held on September 24, 2025 in the Umuttepe Central Library Open Reading area with the participation of Ömer Faruk ÇELIK, the heads of departments of our University, administrative and academic staff and our students, the students of the Kocaeli University Theater Club staged the reading theater of Anton Chekhov's famous work “A Marriage Proposal”. The students' performance was highly appreciated by the audience. Our Rector Prof. Dr. The speech was concluded by Nuh Zafer Cantürk, who emphasized the importance of theater and that our Library is not only a place that provides access to information, but also a center where our students develop themselves and nurture the culture of research and production. Our event ended with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the theater club actors who contributed to the staging of the play and a group photo shoot.

As the Library and Documentation Department, we would like to thank our Theatre Club students, Nisanur KARAHAN, Gökalp AYYILDIZ, Okan Can GÜRBÜZ, Sude Naz BOZKURT, Seyithan Efe ÖZKAN, and Zeren FURUNCU, for their contributions to the play and wish them continued success.
