The Reading Books in 81 Provinces Event Organized at the Central Library

As part of Library Week, the Reading Books in 81 Provinces event was held simultaneously across Turkey on Wednesday, March 27th, from 12:30 to 13:00 at the Umuttepe Central Library. The event began with opening speeches by our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer CANTÜRK, and our Department Head, Bilal Yavuz DEMİRKAYA. This year, the 13th edition of the reading event was themed Reading for a Sustainable World. Following the reading activity, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer CANTÜRK, presented certificates of appreciation and various gifts to the readers who had the highest number of borrowings in 2023. After the library and exhibition tour by Göktuğ College students, the event concluded with tours of student clubs stands and group photos. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their interest in the Reading Books in 81 Provinces event and the 60th Library Week, and we wish everyone a life filled with books.
