As part of the Kocaeli Book Fair, which will be organized for the 15th time this year by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, trees opened books at KOÜ.

As part of the Kocaeli Book Fair, which Kocaeli University is a partner in and will be held this year with the theme "Anatolian Maya," our university held its now-traditional "Trees Open Books" event. Attendees included Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Elif Öğüt, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Çelik, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Eren, presidents, academics, and numerous students.

The event, which began with students collecting books from their branches on the walkway in front of the Rectorate, continued at Umuttepe Central Library. Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk noted that our university will be participating in Turkey's largest book fair with the "Speak Up to Overcome Barriers" project, organized by the Accessible Library Unit, and invited all students to our university's stand. As the Kocaeli University Library and Documentation Department, we extend our gratitude to all volunteers who volunteered to contribute to this special project and lend a voice to books.
