The 15th International Kocaeli Book Fair has begun

The 15th annual Kocaeli International Book Fair kicked off with an opening ceremony at the Kocaeli Congress Center. The fair, which also includes Kocaeli University, will run from October 4-12 under the theme "Anatolian Maya."

The opening ceremony of the 15th Kocaeli Book Fair was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Elif Öğüt and Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Çelik, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Eren, Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş, Kocaeli Members of Parliament, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın, provincial officials, and a large number of citizens.

The fair, organized by the Accessible Library Unit of Kocaeli University's Library and Documentation Department, will feature activities such as the "Speak Up to Overcome Barriers" audiobook project and VR headsets. 1,050 panels, talks, and book signings will be held at the fair. In addition to Kocaeli University, 515 publishing houses, second-hand booksellers, and NGOs will be participating. We invite all book lovers to the Kocaeli University stand to contribute to the 15th Kocaeli Book Fair and the "Speak Up to Overcome Barriers" project.
